How to make a wreath Christmas decoration by ourselves?

In the western, hanging a wreath Christmas decoration on the door is as the same important as a Christmas tree. Fresh Christmas wreath

It is an economic way to use fresh leaves to make a wreath. As long as you completed the fresh wreath, you will be welcomed by the fresh scent of evergreen creature hanging on your front door this winter.

Material preparing

Wire wreath form, floral wire, pruning shears, wire cutter are the must-have materials and decorating lights are the optional choice which depends on your need.

Material notes: a wire wreath less than 2 dollars would be available in most groceries. It is no necessary to buy a large wreath since the completed product would be three times than its original size. Floral wire could be reused next year. So DIY a wreath decoration with fresh leaves hardly spends much money.

Step1

The first step is to cut 8-10 inch sprigs of evergreen needles and then to gather them together into small bouquet. The thicker your bouquets, the thicker your Christmas wreath. You had better keep the size of the bouquet in the same so as to make your wreath evenly.

Step 2

Lay your first bundle, inside the concave groove of the wire wreath form. Wrap and twist floral wire around the base of the bundle and the wire wreath form about five times. Do not cut the wire yet.

Step 3

Lay another bundle on top of the first bundle, staggering the spacing a couple of inches. Wrap floral wire around the base of the next bundle about 4-5 times.

Step 4

Continue around the wreath, repeating step three.

Step 5

When you come around to where you started, simply lift up the top of the first bundle, and keep adding more bundles underneath it, until the wreath looks full and complete. Cut the wire and secure the cut end by twisting it to the wire wreath form.

Step 6

Optional: Add embellishments, other varieties of evergreen and/ or  some twinkle lights.

Christmas Wreath Trio

Feel too boring with the typical Christmas wreath? Why not try to make a wreath trio by yourself? It seems more dramatic to decorate your entire front door by hanging three wreaths tied together with a ribbon.

Materials

What shall we preparing are including boxwood wreath with berries, aluminum hobby wire and red velvet ribbon.

Step 1 

To use wire to attach all three wreaths together.

Step 2

To cut a strip of the velvet ribbon to fit around wreaths. Secure by tying in the back or with some strong double-sided tape.

Step 3

To create a bow and thread a small piece of wire through the back to attach to wreath.

The last thing what we need to do is to hang your trio on your front door in order to welcoming all your Christmas guests! It allows you to adjust its decorations to fit any style by simply switching the wreaths, adding ornaments, or different ribbons.
